Melbourne Music Week
City of Melbourne

The visual identity for Melbourne Music Week 2021 centred around the theme of emerging. After surviving the longest lockdown in the world, Melbourne and its thriving music scene were set to re-open at the end of 2021.
This was a truly unique moment in the city’s history that called for a design reflecting renewal and energy. Using the date and oval as a central motif, the identity shows text emerging from the unknown “grey area” into a bright, colourful future. Artists were heroed throughout the campaign, reinforcing the return of live music and those who make it possible.

Lustre Rebrand
Lustre Company
LUSTRE is an artist management company with offices in London, Berlin, and Byron Bay. An identity was needed that reflected their supportive approach while positioning them within the global creative industry. The concept centred on balancing warmth and strength, capturing LUSTRE’s commitment to creative freedom and professional integrity.
Warm neutral tones paired with bold, minimalist typesetting, while highlighting artist images in digital and OOH media, created a visual language that reflected their hands on ethos. The brand presence now feels focused and assured, contrasting against the trend driven noise of the industry.

Maroske Peech Rebrand
Maroske Peech
Maroske Peech is a Melbourne-based fashion label with a growing international audience that needed a clearer brand presence. The branding needed to move easily across collections, collaborations, and retail without competing with the garments. The identity and font choice balance softness with structure, reflecting the label’s romantic, ironic, and never too serious attitude. The identity was translated into a fully custom e-commerce website, as well as labels, packaging, digital, and campaign applications, creating a considered digital expression of the brand.
The refreshed branding supported international collaborations, including a Nordstrom pop-up with Café Forgot in New York, strengthening the label’s position within the global fashion space.

Kompira Maru x Chunky Move
Chunky Move
Chunky Move, a Melbourne-based dance company, released a limited series of three wines in collaboration with Konpira Maru. The packaging needed to reflect the dynamic, artistic identity of both brands. The concept focused on vibrant colours and minimalist typography to capture the energy and fluidity of contemporary dance, while staying true to each of the brand’s aesthetics.
Three distinct wine labels, unified by a visual system, were designed to complement the colour of each wine, allowing the wine itself to shine through. Instead of full wrap-around labels, the design used front and back stickers to let the wine’s colour become part of the overall aesthetic.
Art direction for a photoshoot and posters for OOH advertising were also key elements of the project.

New Year's Eve Countdown 2023
City of Melbourne
As part of an ongoing relationship with the City of Melbourne, a vibrant two-minute video was developed for the 2023 New Year’s Eve Countdown. The brief was to create a visual experience that felt celebratory, inclusive, and reflective of the city’s creative energy.
Developed in collaboration with Banalarama, along with audio mixed by Harvey Sutherland, the concept centred on bold colour and dynamic motion. A palette of bright hues mirrored the video’s imagery and evoked a joyful, energetic tone. A minimalist graphic language ensured clarity, impact, and accessibility for all audiences.

Feng Suave
Lustre Company
Feng Suave, meaning Smooth Wind, is a Dutch psych-pop duo from Amsterdam. Created for the 7” release of Venus Flytrap, the artwork draws on 60s and 70s graphic design, reflecting the nostalgic warmth and dreamlike quality of the music. Bold green and blue tones reference the Venus flytrap’s natural habitat while nodding to the saturated palettes of mid-century design.
The visual language extended across the vinyl artwork, video titles, and social assets, creating a cohesive identity across physical and digital formats. The result is a distinctive body of work that blends nature and nostalgia while capturing the band's psych-pop aesthetic.

Hermone
Body Literacy Berlin
Hermone is a German hormone tracking app designed to promote body literacy and contribute to a more equal future. The identity needed to feel grounded in science while remaining approachable, intuitive, and visually in tune with the natural rhythms of the body.
The logo features fluid, waved letterforms inspired by the curves of a hormone cycle chart, which then evolved into a flexible brand motif, shaping the rest of the visual identity. A custom version of Ciron, by type designer Raoul Gottschling, was commissioned for its readability and distinct personality.
To maintain cohesion across touch points, the app interface features soft edges and flowing transitions to reinforce a sense of harmony throughout the UX. The identity takes shape as a calm, fluid system that supports Hermone’s mission to make hormone education feel accessible.

Gelato. After Piccolina
Piccolina Gelateria
Each year, Piccolina Gelateria hosts a chef takeover series, inviting eight of Melbourne’s most extraordinary chefs to create limited edition flavours for the specials menu. For the 2023 campaign, the brief was to create a refreshed identity that captured the collaborative spirit while offering a more narrative driven approach. In collaboration with Banalarama, the concept was shaped by a voyeuristic theme, inviting customers to glimpse into the personal keepsakes a chef might carry after enjoying a gelato, like a receipt or note. This became the foundation of the creative direction.
The concept rolled out across posters, social, in-store assets and motion, creating a campaign that felt story-led, while strengthening the connection between brand, product, and experience. The project was featured on The Brand Identity and received an Australian Graphic Design Association award for its cre
